PROPERTY REGISTRATION
& LICENSING COMPLIANCE
We ensure your properties remain fully compliant with all local, state, and federal landlord-tenant laws. Our diligent approach keeps your properties updated and aligned with licensing and registration regulations.
Licensing / Registration Compliance
-
Baltimore City and Baltimore County require all residential rental units to be registered, inspected, and licensed to ensure that they meet basic safety and maintenance requirements.
-
Before you can obtain a rental license, all Baltimore City and Baltimore County rental properties must be inspected by a State Licensed Home Inspector.
-
We work closely with the home inspector and monitor the entire inspection process to ensure properties pass inspection and meet all requirements.
-
We complete all necessary paperwork in the registration process to receive the license.
-
Licensing and registration are renewed as needed to maintain compliance.
Lead Certificate Compliance with MDE
(Maryland Department of the Environment)
-
Maryland's Lead Risk Reduction in Housing Law requires inspections for rental units built before 1978.
-
Each unit built before 1978 must have a valid lead certificate (Lead-Free, Limited Lead-Free, or Full Risk Reduction).
-
We manage the entire process, from scheduling inspections to obtaining certificates, keeping you compliant with this law.
MDE Annual Registration Compliance:
-
All Maryland properties must be registered annually by December 31st. (lead-free are exempt)
-
We handle the process to ensure registrations are current and meet deadlines.
-
Lead-free properties have a one-time registration and are exempt from the annual registration.
